Round 2 is now closed.
Introduction
In partnership with City of Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, LISC is administering Round 2 of the City of Providence Early Learning Infrastructure Support Program, providing technical assistance support along with the opportunity for grant funding for the improvement of child care and early learning environments. For Round 2, a total of $295,000 is available through a competitive application process for licensed providers serving infant through pre-kindergarten aged children, with prioritization given to proposed physical space improvements that support compliance with regulations, remediating areas that pose risks to children’s health and safety, and supporting facilities to improve their quality rating and standing (ex. BrightStars, RIDE CECE Standards). Small capital improvement grants will be available through a menu of options (included in the instructions). Due to the limited funding and the competitive nature of this grant, submission of a completed application does not guarantee funding.
Application Information
Applications for Round 2 of the Early Learning Infrastructure Support Program will be accepted from March 4, 2024 through April 12, 2024 with award notification by April 30, 2024. Incomplete applications will not be considered for funding. Applications received after April 12 will not be considered for funding.
