LISC, in partnership with the State of RI Department of Human Services, is excited to announce the first installment of $8.5M in funding for capital improvement and expansion projects through the Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) Capital Fund. This represents more than half of the grant resources available through this Program.
In the March 2021 special election, voters approved the ECCE Capital Fund, which allocated $15M to support child care facilities in RI. Public support was strong, with nearly 67% voting to affirm. After a rigorous review process, the first round of awardees have been selected.
