With so many groups starting their construction project by working with an architect on design first, we thought it might be helpful to share some basic information about what the design process is and how working with an architect will be beneficial to your project down the road.
You and Your Architect is an electronic brochure published by the American Institute of Architects. It is meant to provide guidance on how best to establish a relationship and continue to work in a meaningful way with your architect.
Experience shows that successful projects – those that in the end meet all of the requirements of the owner and architect – result from having a working collaboration and positive relationship between the owner and the architect. These relationships are formed early on and function by identifying expectations, using clear communication, and having the enthusiasm to see the project through.
