Early Childhood Care and Education Capital Fund Wave 2 for Expansion Projects

Reminder: Wave 2 is currently open for the Early Childhood Care and Education Capital Fund. With a smaller and more competitive pool of funds, wave 2 is focused on expansion projects that maximize on the ECCE Capital Fund’s priority areas. The decision-making process for Wave 2 will happen in May of 2023 for the remaining grant resources. This will allow programs time to thoughtfully plan and seek out technical assistance for proposed facilities projects prior to submitting a project proposal.

As a reminder, applying for this program is a two-step process. If you did not submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) during Wave 1, you must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) no later than March 24, 2023 which will be reviewed by LISC and DHS. If your LOI is approved, you will be invited to submit a full electronic application. Applications are due by April 21, 2023.

Please be sure to read about the program eligibility, priorities, and process here. Please also feel free to reach out with any questions to the RI Child Care & Early Learning Facilities Fund team at 401-331-0131 or riecce-capitalfund@lisc.org
