June 2023 eNews – Guides in Spanish; Project Highlight: Kathy’s Daycare; Is your AC Ready for Summer?

This series of guides is a road map for childcare providers and partners for intentional planning of facilities projects. From developing and financing a childcare facilities project, to designing a childcare center and early childhood playground, and then equipping and furnishing the center our first four volumes in this series demystify the steps to create a quality physical environment for childcare, while empowering providers to make the design choices that fit the needs of their children and community. We then expanded the series to include our greening guide centered on environmentally-sound building design and facility management practices and a guide for designing high quality school age space. Our final guide in this series, The ABCs of Child Care, is written for community development organizations looking to gain knowledge on the childcare field to more effectively partner with providers.
