The City of Providence Early Learning Infrastructure Support Program Announces Grantees
Recognizing the important role facilities play in providing access to high quality early education and care Providence has invested over $1.5 million through the City of Providence Early Learning Infrastructure Support Program to support the physical improvement of child care facilities across Providence. This program is funded through both an allocation of Providence’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and the city’s budget, is being administered by LISC Rhode Island. Recipients of the Providence Early Learning Infrastructure Support Program participated in a competitive application and review process with funding prioritization given to improvements that support compliance with existing regulations, remediating areas that pose risks to children’s health and safety, and supporting facilities to improve their quality.
